empower widows, youths and indigent
students from Old Ohazara and Ebonyi
South Senatorial zone of the state.
Ebele & Anyi Chuks Foundation is a
humanitarian organisation owned and
funded by Isuechara-Onicha born business
mogul and CEO of Orient Global Nigeria
Limited, Chief Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii,
popularly known as AnyiChuks, towards

Onicha Local Government Area, the venue

was visibly happy, described the business

uncommon and unflinching support for his
administration, describing him as a
member of the caucus of his government

“As you can see the heavy presence of
government functionaries here. From
Coordinators of Development Centres,
Council Chairmen, Exco members, Speaker
and members of our House of Assembly
and leaders of our great party, PDP. This is
to show you that Anyi is a member of the
caucus of our government. He has been
with us even from the campaign period to
this period.
“So, on behalf of my government, I want to
thank Anyi Chuks and his family for their
support to us especially during the
campaign. He has been a source of
support to us, fighting for, assisting us
and supporting in all ways. We are here to
express our gratitude to him and his
family and pray that God will continue to
bless him.
“There is no doubt that he has been a
source of succour and help to the less
privileged in this community and Ebonyi
state in general. It is not easy to build a
two-storey building of six classrooms and
furnish it with laboratory and ICT Centre
and donate to the people.
“There are many here and among us who
have more money but they can’t do it.
Anyi is a good man; he is a kindhearted
man and I am proud to say that he is my
friend and a friend of our government.
He further promised to liaise with the state
Commissioner for Education, Prof. John
Eke, in line with all relevant procedures to
ensure that a secondary school is
approved and granted to the community,
which he said, would commence from the

with passion for speedy and holistic
development of state like Chief Ifeanyi
Chukwuma Odii.
In his remarks earlier, the Chairman of the
occasion and Zonal Vice Chairman of the
Peoples Democratic Party, South East,
Chief Austine Umahi, said that wealth
accumulated for the purposes of self is
useless and called on the wealthy men of
the society to emulate the generosity of
Anyi Chuks and his wife Ebele in order to
make the society a better place for all.
In his welcome address earlier, the
Founder of the Foundation, Chief Ifeanyi
Chukwuma Odii, opined that Ebele &
AnyiChuks Foundation which started over
a decade ago, was founded as part of his
vision and passion to contribute in the
development of his community and Ebonyi
state in general, adding that there is no
deeper feeling of satisfaction than putting
genuine smiles on the faces of the people
on account of how well their lives have
been impacted.”
Commenting on why his foundation built
the two-storey classroom blocks with
modern facilities for the community, Anyi
said that it was upon the understanding
that education remains the surest and
fastest route to intellectual salvation and
economic prosperity.
He said: ‘It is indispensable that the new
school edifice would not only add
aesthetic glamour to this community, but
in a great deal improve and deepen the
quality of teaching and learning within it.”
The philanthropist appealed to the
governor to graciously approve a new
secondary school for the community,
noting that his people have suffered since
the colonial era to date because of lack of
lack of secondary school in the area.
He said his people have had to walk long
distance into neighbouring communities to
get secondary education for many years
